This course is designed for Providers, Nurses, Therapists, and EMS volunteers and professionals guidelines and skills in the assessment and management of an acutely burn injured patient in the first 24 hours post injury.  This course is designed with a half day lecture series, case studies, moulaged patient scenarios and testing.

In order to receive CE credits for this course, you must also register for this course though the American Burn Association. Please follow these steps:

Course information:

  • Lunch will be on your own.
  • Class will start promptly at 8am.
  • CEU's are provided by the American Burn Association:  CME = 7.25 hours/CNE = 7.4 hours (must register through ABA, see instructions above)
  • No discounts are available for CHI Health employees.
  • ABLS Provider manuals will be emailed to registered attendee's about 2 weeks prior to course.

Directions: Please park in the parking garage to the south of the hospital.  Proceed down the first level hallway, north to the Scooter's Coffee Cart/Lobby area.  From there signs will be posted to guide you to the Friendship room.
